OCTEC Limited is one the largest providers of employment services in Australia.

We are a not for profit organisation and a recognised leader in assisting young people and their communities to find pathways to employment. We have achieved this recognition by tailoring training and support to individual needs and local circumstances.

OCTEC has continuously evolved as an organisation over the 48 years of our existence. Our delivery of the Transition to Work (TtW) program is evidence of this.

Transition to Work is a service funded by the Australian Government that provides support to young people aged 15-24 years who are not in employment or education.

OCTEC is delivering Transition to Work in five Employment Regions – Capital, Central West, Illawarra, Murray Riverina and Sydney South West.

Capital Region has six sites – Braddon, Phillip and Tuggeranong, Belconnen, Goulburn and Queanbeyan

Central West has six sites – Bathurst, Cowra, Lithgow, Mudgee, Orange and Parkes

Illawarra has three sites– Corrimal, Wollongong and Shellharbour

Murray Riverina has four sites– Griffith, Leeton, Tolland and Wagga Wagga and

Sydney South West has eight sites– Bankstown, Cabramatta, Camden, Campbelltown, Fairfield, Liverpool and Minto.

TtW has a solid focus on helping young people to understand what is expected in the workplace and to develop the skills, attitudes and behaviours expected by employers. The program provides intensive, pre-employment support to increase the work readiness of young people and to help them into work (including Apprenticeships or Traineeships) or education.

Child Safety and Wellbeing is important to OCTEC Limited.

Some of OCTEC’s customers and clients are children & teenagers and are potentially more vulnerable to abuse, exploitation or neglect as a result. We have a responsibility to protect those in our care from sexual, physical and emotional abuse and neglect.
